FPGA video controller for video wall is a specialized hardware system responsible for centralizing, processing, and simultaneously displaying multiple video sources on a set of screens organized in a wall.

Incoming streams are captured and then processed directly by FPGA circuits, which ensure real-time scaling, cropping, synchronization, and composition of images, without relying on an operating system. This purely hardware approach guarantees a very low latency, perfect visual consistency between screens, and high operational stability.

The controller thus allows for the creation of dynamic multi-window displays, instant modification of layouts, and efficient utilization of the entire video wall, while providing ahigh reliability and robustnesssuitable for demanding and critical environments, such as C2 centers.

The FPGA video controllers Jupiter J400 and J600

The FPGA video controllers Jupiter J400 and J600 drive the video walls through a 100% hardware architecture on FPGA, without an operating system, ensuring deterministic and real-time video processing.

Multiple sources are processed directly in the FPGA to ensure a quasi-instantaneous display (< 16 ms)and perfect synchronization of screens. This design eliminates the risks associated with general-purpose operating systems and enhances the security, stability, and availability, essential in defense environments.

Modular and scalable, the platform allows for the management of multiple video walls, hot-swapping of cards, and optimal operational continuity for command and control rooms.

Advantages of Jupiter J400 and J600 chassis

  • Input/output cards available in HD Base T (compliant with HDBT Alliance) for connecting remote sources or displays. It is sufficient for the transmitters or receivers to comply with the HDBT standard.
