EAL4+ and NIAP: our security certifications
The Common Criteria is an international standard that allows for the verification that a computer product complies with a set of security rules recognized worldwide. The level EAL4+ corresponds to a high degree of assurance: this means that the product has been studied in depth, its operation has been analyzed, documented, and rigorously tested to ensure that it actually does what it promises in terms of security.
In the United States, these evaluations are overseen by the NIAP, an organization that requires each product to be tested according to strict and identical security profiles for all, in order to obtain clear, reproducible results recognized internationally through the CCRA agreement.
